Prices and Tickets

In general Garbage costs .10 per pound to dispose of

Tickets can be bought for $2, $5, $10 or $20

Tickets can be bought from the Town Clerk at the Town Hall Monday-Friday from 10am-12pm + 1pm-3pm

Tickets can be bought at the dump whenever open - however only by check.

Large Items - Limited free disposal items

Every property owner is entitled to a "clean up card" which permits the free disposal of a variety of

large items - 1 each - for example 1 stove, 1 refrigerator, 1 freezer etc per year.

These tickets are currently available at the town hall from the town clerk at the above hours.

DIRECTIONS

The Town of Schroon Landfill is located on Alder Meadow road next to the airport.

From the center of the village go north on Route 9 about 1.8 miles to Alder Meadow Road.

Take a right turn.  The landfill is about half a mile further.

The turnoff is just before the airport.
