Prices and Tickets

In general Garbage costs .10 per pound to dispose of

Tickets can be bought for $2, $5, $10 or $20

Tickets can be bought from the Town Clerk at the Town Hall Monday-Friday from 10am-12pm + 1pm-3pm

Tickets can be bought at the Transfer Station whenever open - however only by check.

Large Items - Limited free disposal items

Every property owner is entitled to a "clean up card" which permits the free disposal of a variety of

large items - 1 each - for example:  1 stove, 1 refrigerator, 1 freezer etc. per year.

These tickets will be included with your January Land Tax bill.  If lost, there will be a $5.00 replacement charge.

DIRECTIONS

The Town of Schroon Landfill is located on Alder Meadow road next to the airport.

From the center of the village go north on Route 9 about 1.8 miles to Alder Meadow Road.

Take a right turn.  The landfill is about half a mile further.

The turnoff is just before the airport.
