Town Board Meeting held March 1, 2007, at 6:00 p.m. at the Town Hall, Schroon Lake, New York

Present:

Supervisor: Catherine L. Moses

Councilmen: Roger Friedman, Donald Sage, Sharron Tyrrell, Clara Phibbs

Hwy. Super.: Michael Marnell- absent

Town Clerk: Janice Tyrrell

Also Present: List Attached

6:00 PM Public Hearing for the Governor’s Office for Small Cities grant application was called to

order.

Clara made motion to dispense with the reading of the hearing notice, seconded by Roger; carried.

Vic Putnam was present to explain the block grant application (CDBG).

Vic stated that the application is due by April 9^{th and will be awarded in August or September.}

If the grant money is awarded, the money has to be spent within 24 months.

The Public Hearing was declared closed at 6:14 PM

At 5:00 PM, a meeting was called to order with the library steering committee.

Jane Claus and Michael Bonnewell were present to discuss with the board options on new library.

Jane stated that a different design than originally planned is being discussed, and she asked the board

for their opinion of what they would like to see.

Cathy stated that on March 25th the Steering Committee would be meeting with Vic Putnam the

County Planner.

Cathy made a motion to adjourn the workshop at 5:50 PM, seconded by Clara; carried.

At 6:00 PM the Public Hearing for the Governor’s Office for Small Cities grant was called to order.

Roger moved a resolution to dispense with the reading of the public notice, seconded by Clara; carried.

Vic Putnam discussed the possible needs of the sewer project with James Roblee, the plant operator.
