Special Town Board Meeting held March 15, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. at the Town Hall, Schroon Lake, New York

Present:

Supervisor: Catherine L. Moses

Councilmen: Roger Friedman, Donald Sage, Sharron Tyrrell, Clara Phibbs

Hwy. Super.: Michael Marnell- absent

Town Clerk: Janice Tyrrell

The meeting was called to order at 3:04 PM to discuss a Sewer/Water employee with possible maintance work.

Susan Kennedy from the Department of Health stated that there are certain codes that have to be followed. She feels that the water operation needs a minimum of two certified operators, and third person certified for sewer/water.

Vince Cavanaugh from NYSDEC stated that the sewer needs two operators. It takes two hours per day to do the required monitoring only.

After listening to the Department of Health and DEC compliment our operators of the two plants, Roger stated that the board realizes that we have two very good operators.

Clara moved a resolution to advertise for a full time sewer/water person, seconded by Roger; carried.

Sharron moved a resolution to adjourn the meeting at 5:10 PM, seconded by Clara; carried
