Town Board Meeting held May 31, 2007, at 3:15 p.m. at the Town Hall, Schroon Lake, New York

Present:

Supervisor: Catherine L. Moses

Councilmen: Roger Friedman, Donald Sage, Clara Phibbs- Sharron Tyrrell- absent

Hwy. Super.: Michael Marnell

Town Clerk: Janice Tyrrell

Also Present: List Attached

The meeting was called to order at 3:20 PM.

Clara made motion to go into Executive Session to discuss a possible legal issue

regarding a bidder for the proposed Water Project at 3:22 PM seconded by Don; carried.

Don moved a resolution to come out of Executive Session at 3:50 PM, seconded by

Clara; carried.

Don moved a resolution to award Bombard the bid for the water main project,

seconded by Roger; carried.

Cathy stated that we need a fairway mower and she has quotes on the following:

John Deere under state contract - $34,080.86

Grassland has a Toro under state contract - $42,345.00.

Moffett has a Jacobsen demo for $41,500.00.

Cathy is to look into either bidding or going to RFP for the mower.

Clara made motion to go into Executive Session at 4:12 PM to discuss personal items

regarding applicants for the sewer/water position, seconded by Don; carried.

Cathy stated we had 13 applicants, have narrowed down to four possibilities.

Clara made motion to come out of Executive Session at 4:30 PM seconded by Don;

carried.

Don made motion to give the four applicants an opportunity to accept the starting pay,

seconded by Clara for discussion.

Clara moved a resolution to hire William Jenks on six months probation at $11.22

per hr. for the sewer/ water trainee position, seconded by Roger; carried. Sharron Tyrrell

was absent.

Cathy recommended that the steps in the park be rebuilt the way they are. The Board

approved to go forward and build steps at the park as they originally were.

Don moved to adjourn the meeting at 4:50 PM, seconded by Clara; carried
