Town of Schroon Ice Skating Rink
The Town of Schroon Skating Rink is currently undergoing a total renovation and rebuild. In May 2018 the old rink was demolished and site work began in preparation for our new facility.  We hope to have it up and functioning for winter 2018. 9/27/18 Work begins on construction of new ice skating rink. 11/1/18 Roof trusses installed.   The skating rink is open during the winter months 24/7, weather permitting.  The rink is free and open to the general public.  There are lights for evening skating, please be sure to turn them off when you are finished skating. Please call the town offices at 532-7737 if you need information about turning on the lights. Ice conditions at the town rink are monitored frequently and maintained with the use of our newly purchased, Bambini ice resurfacing machine. Need Ice Skates? The town has a large selection of skates you can borrow. Call (518) 532-7737 for further information. The town is always looking for ice skate donations. You can drop them off at the town hall or the library. 3/18 Rink closed for season.
